Workshops

Children struggling with low confidence, self motivation, developing social relationships, concentration or children with special needs can benefit from the following workshops. The workshop leader will travel to your school or club, each course is laid out with the ideal duration, however we can tailor the workshop to suit you.   I also offer private singing lessons in Inverness and private tutoring in the performing arts - see below for more details.  

Puppetry

Learn the art of puppetry, used to encourage confidence and understanding emotions. 

Puppets have proven especially useful to help children with difficulties. 

Duration –1 hour workshop over a period of 6 weeks developing skills towards a short performance. 

Content – using puppetry to explore another method for developing communication and imagination. Including drama games, drama exercises and mime. 

Circus skills

A one day workshop with fun new skills for all ages and can encourage fitness, balance and co-ordination as well as improving focus and concentration.

Duration – Depending on age group. For younger children 1 hour workshop or 2 ½ hours for children over 8 years old. 

Content – Juggling, diablo, plate spinning, ribbons and poi and other circus surprises.

Cost - £90 for an hour £160 for 2 hours 

Special FX Makeup 

Create your own gory wounds, the zombie look, face painting and stage makeup.

£160 for 2 hours for up to 15 participants. Cost is based on resources needed per person.

Balloon Modelling

Learn the basics of the art of twisting. Create your own animals and imaginative designs out of modelling balloons.

£90/hour or £160 for 2 hours with a limit of 10 participants at once.

Karaoke

Listen to your favourite tunes and try out some karaoke singing. PA, microphones, karaoke tracks and host provided.

Requirements: TV Screen with HDMI input and Wifi access. (more tracks available with wifi)

Presenting, compering and confidence skills 

Learn tips and techniques of addressing a crowd.  Using exercises to develop voice and body language discover a new confident side of you. Suitable for any age group.

Duration –1 hour workshop over a period of 6 weeks developing skills towards a short performance. 

Content –Working with the voice, physicality and microphone technique, Including drama games and exercises and comedy.

Team Building

Drama as a stimulus is recognised as one of the best confidence builders. 

Fundamentally this is what allows one to develop in other ways. These workshops indirectly explore the possible scenarios you may encounter in a workplace. Drama is a positive process that encourages groups to work as a team by considering and understanding others. Companies benefit from this kind of workshop. 

Duration – 4 hour workshop

Content - Role-playing to discover creativity and focus on working together. Trust and understanding exercises. Drama exercises designed for imagination and creativity.

Private Singing Lessons and tutoring in Performing arts

Preparing for an important audition? If you are in need of tuition/direction or want to take up singing but are lacking confidence. Maybe you need help to improve your public speaking or just want try a new skill.  I can teach you to read music, breathing and singing techniques as well as performing with confidence.  Contact direct for details.

Themed drama workshop

Are you looking for a drama workshop in Inverness designed to suit your own theme?  The workshops above give you an idea or what can be offered.  However, if you are interested in an educational workshop based around a relevant subject or issue based drama workshops (for example anti-bullying, internet safety or the environment) Get in touch.  

Prices are based on the Inverness area. A transport charge of 45p per mile will be added if the venue is outside Inverness.  Please note that if the venue is further than an hours drive away a further cost will be added for travel time.
